Shawn Campbell is an artist born in Akron, Ohio, working and living in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from The University of Akron and a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from The University of Georgia. Campbell's work engages with mythologies that have been presented as the bedrock of the place he inhabits, exploring how myths have been shaped, invented, and nurtured. Through his objects, Campbell breaks these myths down while weaving them back together, giving viewers a way to see the complex, unexpected relationships that surround the world they inhabit. Campbell has shown regionally and nationally, including at The Alabama Contemporary Art Center (2025), Whitespec Gallery (2024), ROY G BIV Gallery (2023), and The End Space (2022).
